Statement of the President of ESDAK H. Mamoulakis

We are just a few days before the start of a Conference that will bring together all the agencies that can and are expected to play a decisive role in the era of the Circular Economy in waste management. We are thus sending a strong message from Heraklion emphasizing our determination to utilize every available means and tool, to inform our fellow citizens and to make the Circular Economy part of our daily life.

With the main purpose of providing broad information on the directions of the E.U. in achieving the goals that have been set, but also to highlight the opportunities that emerge from the change in the institutional and financial framework of solid waste management projects, we await the conclusions that will emerge and will be a valuable guide for the Local Government

I would once again like to thank the Regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnautakis and the President of the PED of Crete and Mayor of Heraklion Vassilis Lambrino, who put the Conference under the auspices of the leading self-governing institutions of our country, as well as the Center for European Politics and Regional Development of the University of Crete for our collaboration.

Gold sponsors of the conference are the companies Thalis Environmental Services and TERNA ENERIAKI, sponsors the companies VKC, SYCHEM and J&P avax and supporters the companies Citipost, KAFSIS and Helesi Perivallontiki.
